this behaviour is what probably was used a lot when governments were considering the idea of UNIVERSAL INCOME
-
yeah, the first part is about Maslows theory of needs
-
.... and when the talk is over, here comes the Capitalist and says,
"Now that you are motivated, get back to work and make me some money or else....!!!".
(We must have Basic Income that is Unconditional, Guaranteed and SUFFICIENT) -
Is there also an RSA app for android?
-
Is there anyway to get access to this video again?

I can relate to this as I contribute to the open source but sadly my company will translate this entire thing in a way that suits them. ie: gotta pay him less, no more bonuses.
-
I think people develop open source because they want continuity i.e. be able to use the knowledge about what they created. If you develop closed source you always run the risk of being removed from your job, and then you can't use the knowledge about the code, because you will be sued as an industrial spy if you do. The only case in which it would make sense to develop closed source would be if you owned the company, but even then it wouldn't be safe, because someone might maneuver you out of power.

how did they not zoom out and show the whole thing

I would love to have the drawings printed on a poster. This was awesome.

Behavioural physics!
Please do not pretend that the published results in psychology/economics have anywhere near as small a standard deviation as the published results in physics do.
I don't like these terms, but I like it even less when a soft science co-opts the hard sciences for academic prestige. -
agree. i will build my own company at home and apply it.

Great video and it explains to me why I hate my job so much and have no motivation. I clearly have no choice but to leave and find a new job.

This is survivorship bias at its finest. Linux, Apache and MediaWiki are a few of the less than 1% of successful software projects in their category.
