vue - Terry Jones' Medieval Lives - S1 Ep 1 - The Peasant
The stereotype of the medieval peasant is a toothless, filthy, ignorant wretch. Or were they? Terry Jones discovers that peasants were in fact literate, emancipated, highly political and legally savvy, house proud and healthy, and responsible for the peasants revolt of 1381.

this is a good arguement for why saudi arabia owes 9/11 families money. if a subject flies a plane into a foreign building, that subjects lord is responsible period. im a democrat(mostly cause of racism), but i think rep. ryan is doing the right thing.

The cottages in this video are Roman-Britannic era.
Most medieval serf's cottages were large, spacious houses with wattle and daub walls, doors(the keys for the locks were made of antlers or bones and they had peeking holes), large windows with wooden shutters and curtains, and chimneys which were usually made of stone.
The stone floors were usually covered by various carpets, mats and rugs. -
Its a sad sad world

Where are the console peasants?

So what about inbred?
I am not sure since I got it from TVTrope and the lore itself that Bretonnian (Warhammer Fantasy's "everything bad about medeival era" country) peasants were more inbred than their feudal masters, which predicted anthropological research that discovered that concept. I mean bonded to land, isolation, and not being able to travel didn't help out with genepool. -
I'm more an ancient guy any suggestions ?
