Mangroves for the Future invests in coastal ecosystems. Recently, in a bid to help reduce fishing and other ecosystem pressures around Puttalam lagoon, located on Sri Lanka's north-west coast, an Aloe vera cultivation project was introduced to the women of the local fisher communities.
