vue - The Paradigm Shift - Cultivation Theory: Is our Social Reality Expanding?
Cultivation Theory: Is our Social Reality Expanding? Or are we still stuck in the reality created by televised shows? Join +David Amerland and I to discuss where how we're creating our social reality today... Are we still relying on TV or is the pervasiveness of the internet giving us a new view of reality? Note: If you decide to share this or comment in other platforms... Please use the hashtag #Theparashift . That way we can track it (paradigm shift alone has been used way too much for us to keep track). Cultivation Theory George Gerbner's Cultivation Theory states that regular exposure to television over time creates an individual's social reality, which leaves the individual with a misperception of what is true in our world. Generally discussed in terms of lack of heavy set individuals on TV or lack of racial diversity, cultivation theory rests on the assumption that individual's watch an excessive amount of television over their lifetime. In terms of business As always I leave this to David to really explain for you but I think we can all see on a basic level how changing our social reality changes the way businesses function. What I'll rely on David to do is really make a case for how significant this paradigm shift is ;) Tune in Thursday October 23rd for what I think will be a kind of mind bending discussion. It's the little things that add #value
We couldn't be more grateful to +Grizwald Grim for adding even more value to #TheParashift show! It encourages us that what we're doing is engaging enough for Griz (and other viewers) to offer us one of the most precious things they have: Time.
This is why we do what we do. We try our best to offer valuable, engaging content so that others can continue the conversation around it. That, in our opinion, is #socialbusiness . Creating valuable conversations through interesting, co-created content. It's not about SEOWiSE. It's about all of you.
So thank you Griz for giving us this encouragement which will give us the nudge to keep pushing forward.
