The Vetiver System for soil erosion & flood control. After Cyclone Wilma Jan 2011 a large slip is planted.Previous well established plantings of vetiver have held some of the area, but sadly not all the land was able to be planted at that time. Vetiver to the rescue... with 300 plants into very friable soils, an effective hedge against further erosion will establish within a short time.
