vue - The Worst Job In New York: Immigrant America
Subscribe to VICE News here: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-VICE-News Milking cows is a dirty, monotonous job, and as we found out in our latest episode of Immigrant America, it's not a job many unemployed Americans are willing to do. But for some reason the government doesn't give dairy farms a way to recruit foreign workers legally, so most feel forced to hire illegal immigrants. This makes the farms and their workers easy targets for immigration authorities looking to fill deportation quotas. We went to upstate New York to try to understand the cat and mouse game going on between dairy farms and immigration authorities. We found a lot of wasted taxpayer money, racial profiling, and a broken system that unnecessarily treats family farmers and hardworking immigrants like criminals. construction job they get $10 an hour . American employment at $20 an hour half price
-
it's only about how much money they want to play to keep a Mexican chip if they want to pay American work
-
When you don't work for your country and people, other people take advantage of them. This is absolutely disgusting. I feel really bad for these people.
-
In most countries, this is the same story. In Australia, immigrants are doing the crap jobs that are apparently beneath the unemployed dole bludgers & you get idiots who say 'they're stealing our jobs!!' Ugh...ppl!
-
and if its absurd and unjust...how come the scum bags keep coming here? i mean, what really is your message vice?

Let me tell you something, if you kick out those arrogant cretin immigrants (hard job, shut up)Then the wage will go up. I will pay a little more for milk to get these people out of the country. It's called patriotism.

i'm from upstate NY. SHUT THE SUBSIDIZED DAIRY FARMS DOWNNNNNN These workers pay billions into our economy, including into social programs they will never benefit from. the FARMS are the ones getting free government money... WAY more than welfare recipients... so many goddamn sheep blaming the poor in this country

In the U.K, if an immigrant is found in a work place, the business gets charged £10,000 per person.
-
ok everybody you saw it with your own eyes no americans wanted to milk cows, you could offer someone 20$ an hour to milk and they still wouldnt do it because the people in this country have become fucking pussies!
-
GOOD! SEND EM BACK! I'd be happy to increase the price of milk just to get real americans in there working.
I'm a New Yorker; We need to bring back stop and frisk. IT WORKED! Racial profiling works. -
Something went wrong years ago. If they want americans to work there they will have to pay up to 30, 40 an hour. Milk will have to double or triple in price same with vegetables.
