great tutorial! very clear to understand and slow for people to follow along nicely! saving this one!! an added idea: after you cut the triangles take a marker of another color and ink just the edges that way when you open it you have a two tone flower..could also use glue and glitter for that extra sparkle!!

Yes, I had my elementary school students make these in red every year for Memorial Day - except that we made them look like poppies, which is a symbol for Memorial Day. It's easy to do. We also made the carnations in white for Mother's Day.
