In order to accelerate the growth of ridge gourd and getting adequate flowering and fruiting, top dressing with plant nutrients is necessary. After 25 days of planting of seeds, weeds are removed, soil 3 to 4 inches around the plant is loosened. 20 g DAP, 20 g Potash and 20 g Urea along with 500 g of cow dung are applied in the pit and mixed with the soil thoroughly.
