Melanie Joy is a WONDERFUL woman!!
-
The woman who changed my life. Been a vegetarian almost for a year thanks to her ❤
-
i never knew that meat eating was a disorder called carnavism, thanks for clearing that up.
-
I want to be a vegetarian or vegan for health reasons and because I feel bad for the animals.
-
I'm a vegan at heart because of these reasons and working very hard to eliminate animal products. Unfortunately, i'm addicted to umami. Soy isn't healthy for me. There are so many things wrong with this food system, but it doesn't mean i'm not trying my hardest. The meat i still eat, which is very little, is local, organic and raised on pasture. Needless to say, it's expensive. That's why i eat mostly vegan, local, unprocessed and mostly homegrown except in the dead of winter. I personally feel there can be a middle ground and i'm not fond of extreme veganism, exactly because it's more like a fundamentalist religion. They'll chop your head off the second they know you still eat a bit of meat instead of helping you the hell out by giving some helpful advice. I'm solidly disgusted with the whole movement. I am however hopeful i can get it down to zero one day.

Great talk! Gives you some things to think about in terms of social change/movements, ideologies, power, beliefs and so on. A bunch of good quotes/gems in there. Connecting this to slavery reframes it in a new way I think for the audience who as soon as a similar situation is explained with humans swapped out for animals we realise how backward or cruel we used to be to people..
The powerful vs the powerless, majority vs minority, those with voices versus the silent/voiceless/those we don't understand is perhaps one of the major themes/issues in society. It's almost like we're in a book/movie! -
ok but i think that the eggs and milk is not bad to eat because we dont kill the animals, second , the fish is good to eat because they don't have feelings
-
Propaganda. Simple as that.
-
shes some sorta wonderful :)

-
This video has inspired me to start eating dog
-
She's amazing!
-
image killing an animal that is smarter than your beloved pet and eating it. eating meat isn't ethically defendable and it's obvious.

ベジタリアンになろうかと想った…

I'm coming up on my first year being vegan. It's so easy once you do it for awhile. I eat more food variety than ever before and I feel much better. Look up Michael Greger for the best science based advance on nutrition.
-
I'd like to translate this talk into my language too, this is so powerful!
-
Fuck that. You can call me immoral, savage, etc. At least I'm not eating shit.
-
Yeah.. It opened my eyes kinda. I see how we have a choice. I chose to eat meat. I'm a bodybuilder, i will always be. I eat about 800 grams of chicken everyday and 200 gram of cow meat everyday.

She looks like Ana from TYT.
