Cuba has undergone many changes in the last decades but its people remain integrated when it comes to sustainable practices. Food insecurity in the early 90's led to a collapse in their food systems due to the lack of technical knowledge in agriculture. The country has improved significantly since then and has found alternative ways to produce their food in urban settlements such as Habana. When people think of Cuba many different things come to mind, but we are proud to take you with us and explore a country where people are starting to empower themselves after a period of depression and food insecurity. Cuba is a country of rich cultural heritage and this societal advantage has supported not only their revolution from Batista's regime but from the prison of their minds. Por una Cuba mas libre!
