Vietnam Academy of Agricultural before the Agricultural University of Hanoi ( English : Vietnam National University of Agriculture, stands VNUA ) is a university specializing in the agricultural town of Trau Quy, district of Gia Lam , foreign of Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City center. Hanoi 12 km. Faculty of Agronomy is one of three founded the first department of the Vietnam Academy of Agricultural. Faculty of Agronomy, Faculty of Horticulture, formerly known as, was established since 1956. As of 1997, officially renamed Faculty of Agronomy as today. Departmental functions and duties 1. Training of engineers with 6 specialized Agriculture: (1) Crop Science, (2) Plant Protection, (3) Select plant varieties, (4) Technology Vegetables - Flowers - Fruits, (5 ) Bachelor of Agriculture, (6) Sericulture - bee keeping. From academic year 2006 - 2007 Faculty far assigned implementing advanced training program (APAM) Crop Science (crop Science) cooperate with UC-DAVIS (UCD) - California (USA) and Program technology vocational training horticulture and landscape design. 2. Training Masters and PhD 3 subjects: (1) Cultivation techniques, (2) Plant Protection, (3) Select plant varieties. 3. Do basic research and applied research on crops, plant breeding and plant protection service of the country's agricultural production. Development History Experiencing 55 years, the Faculty has repeatedly split and re-enter with different names. - 1956: Faculty of Horticulture - Academy of Agriculture and Forestry. - 1963: After the Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Science Institute separated in Agriculture and the University of Agriculture, Faculty of Horticulture is divided into two faculties of Sciences Scientific and Industrial Plants Food Plants, University of Agriculture Ha pot. - 1970: Faculty of Industrial Plants and Food Crops merged back into the Faculty of Horticulture. - 1978: Faculty of Horticulture divided into three faculties: Faculty of Plant Protection - Mulberry, Plant Sciences and the Faculty of Land Management. - 1984: Department of Plant Protection - Sericulture and Plant Sciences Crop Sciences merged to form. - 1997 Faculty officially renamed Faculty of Agronomy.
