Mongols T-Shirt: http://store.dftba.com/products/crashcourse-mongols-shirt In which John Green teaches you, at long last, about the most exceptional bunch of empire-building nomads in the history of the world, the Mongols! How did the Mongols go from being a relatively small band of herders who occasionally engaged in some light hunting-gathering to being one of the most formidable fighting forces in the world? It turns out Genghis Khan was a pretty big part of it, but you probably already knew that. The more interesting questions might be, what kind of rulers were they, and what effect did their empire have on the world we know today? Find out, as John FINALLY teaches you about the Mongols. No historian tells the truth about the huns because 70% of all male humans have hunnic blood scientists found out such a scandal.
-
Mongols only one tribe of the legendary huns who had thousands of tribes over the whole world.
-
The mongol barbarians failed to conquered whole Korea so they planned their khans ugly daughters to marry with Korean warlords to stop the war.

You missed to mention that Kubilai Khan of The Mongol Empire can't beat Majapahit (Indonesia). During the last years of his reign, Kublai launched a naval punitive expedition of 20–30,000 men against Singhasari on Java (1293), but the invading Mongol forces were forced to withdraw by Majapahit (a kingdom after Singhasari) after considerable losses of more than 3000 troops.

The legacy of mongols being invincible was broke and shattered by Mamluks of Egypt ( slave dynasty who succeeded the great sultan salaheddin ayyubi) , they also defeated all Christiandom of crusaders by invading Acre and Antioch. India was being ruled by another Mamluk muslims ( these were turkic tribe called khilji) at the time of chengez.

Most interestingly they all became muslims, and European begged them to defeat great ottoman. It was prophesized by prophet muhammad that a generation will come called tatar who would wear shoes made of human hair and would invade Iraq thereby no caliphate for nearly 50 years. Chengez khan only came to Baghdad because his trader was killed unnecessarily and was looted so he said a prayer looking up in the sky that if there is any GOd help me to invade Iraq for good. The grandson Khublai khan became muslim and adopted persian culture. The uyghur people in china are mongolian musMughals in India were direct descendants of Chengez khan from Timur. The black death only spread because of diseases from Europe, from the start europe gave nothing infact had nothing to give east rather learned everything from great Eastern civilisations. Mongolian empire was the largest of all time.

Could you please provide a source to the claim that scarcity of resources causes people to be more altruistic?

You say that Alexander never conquered India. I guess it depends on what you mean conquered. Alexander's army came out through the Kyber pass and met King Porus's army which featured war elephants and the horses would not get anywhere near an elephant. Since Alexander was the head of the cavalry that presented a big problem. Alexander brought forth the javelinists. Remember the Greeks invented the Olympics. The javenilists hit the men on top of the elephants, and in one case hit an elephant in the eye. The elephants turned and stampeded the army, destroying or scattering the entire army. King Porus surrendered the next morning. That was the last battle of India. I believe it is generally regarded that he conquered India. He died there, but of illness not a fight.
Alexander however said no problem you keep running the country, and send me tax money, as tribute regularly, and there will be peace. King Porus agreed. I have spoken with Indian Americans who are in their 20s and just arrived here from India and several have confirmed that this is the version they were taught in school. -
Today is my birthday

Well they also laid the end to the islamic Golden age. Destroyed the house of wisdom and burned thousands upon thousands of books. The answer really depends on who you ask. Because to muslims, it was terrible. They still haven't recovered for that. But maybe it was good for the europeans.

"Anyone who supported his candidacy for leadership would show up on their horses..."
I suppose it was a stable election 😏 -
The Mongols went around China's Great Wall, marched into Beijing, and slaughtered the Chinese like pigs. China's Great Wall has become China's historic symbol of eternal shame and failure.
