Walnut tree pruning is done with hand-held chain saws on poles and man-lifts, both driven by hydraulics. CAPS Farm Manager Ken Peters explains that the unit allows the trimmers to get up into the trees and to saw out any undesirable limbs which are selectively cut out every couple of years. Once trimmed out the brush is shredded into mulch.
