This unique onion harvester you won't find anywhere else. It was custom build for a Dutch farmer & contractor by Andela Techniek & Innovatie. The harvester is based on an Agrifac ZA 215 EH beet harvester. The topping and lifting technique is both home made and from manufacturer Keulmac. It is lifting three 2.25m wide onion beds and putting them in separate swaths. Here they are left for a few days to dry and then loaded up, two at a time. The machine is steered by RTK-GPS from SBG, which has an accuracy of 1 cm. The operator is often outside to check the machines functions. Using a remote control he can adjust the machine and stop if needed. I filmed this machine in September 2015 in Flevoland, The Netherlands. More? Visit our website: http://www.agrifoto.nl.
