12. Hope my Sister Haru will come back with another documentary of a success story of the land reform programme in Zimbabwe. A story that will explain and discuss how new agricultural entrepreneurs have been born between 2000 and now. A story on how agriculture has been demystified in Zimbabwe, a transition from being a whites-only business to a business for ALL. As far as i know, only those whites who could not swallow the reality of being placed on an equal footing with black Africans found the land redistribution programme a bitter pill to swallow. But the minority who complied and quickly realized that the ordinary black man had said no to racism, oppression and segregation in his own land and quickly embraced the new era, are enjoying just like before, and are never crying. What then makes foreigners cry more than the bereaved boggles the mind. The idea that because land was given to civil servants and the employed being the cause of the lack of production is a masturbatory mentality meant to satisfy the minds of those against land being given to blacks.
    
    When Cecil Rhodes and Dr Leander Starr Jameson colonized this part of the land, they paid members of the Pioneer Column (those employed to colonized the land) with land, mining concessions and stolen cattle among other forms of payment. So to suggest that today's civil servant or the post independent Zimbabwean war veteran does not deserve land is a masturbatory mentality. It's a mentality that will not cause change at all, very unproductive kind of thinking. Naturally all war veterans have their roots in two political parties which are Zanu and PF-Zapu, which today forms Zanu-PF, the same way the majority of the bereaving white farmers have their roots in Queen Victoria's descendants who came to Zimbabwe at the invitation and sponsorship of the British Gvt and Rhodes. So, the current lack of production, the bereaving etc, are just steps, the same steps experienced by the colonial settlers when they set foot here-remember renderpest and drought of 1895-96 that wiped out more than 90% of the country's herd of cattle? Just because it is now a black government in charge, then there must be no drought and everyone must miraculously start producing. Who does not know that some of the big banks in Zimbabwe today were established using proceeds from slave trade whilst some were funded using cattle stolen from Lobengula and Mashonaland areas? Who paid Miekles, the Looting Team Leader of the BSAC with stolen cattle? But! I find comfort in that at long last we have managed to reclaim the stolen land.
